Coaches

Jake has over 17 years of experience coaching senior varsity high school basketball. Under his leadership, his teams have seen 10 consecutive Fraser Valley Championship Appearances (2006-present). AA Fraser Valley Champions (2009-2010 and 2015-16), and 6 high school provincial appearances in 7 years with GW Graham (2010-2016). Jake has a BA Physical Education and MA Education, both from University of Victoria, and was recognized as an All Canadian Student Athlete (CIS) from 1996-2000.

Coach Mannes founded TransCanada Basketball in 1997 in attempt to give local athletes elite opportunities and pathway to the next level. Coach Mannes has been coaching at the elite high school level for the past 30 years. His experience and knowledge of the game is first class, his efforts over the years have assisted countless athletes reach their goals on and off the court.

Coach Mouritzen has played at both UFV and UBC and has coached at the Senior Varsity Level for over 18 years. She takes great joy in giving back to the community through sport, knowing that the investment she makes in our youth generates a priceless future rate of return.

Coach Mannes is GW Graham’s all time male leading scorer. He participated in the BC High School All Star Game. Lucas lead the Graham Grizzlies to three consecutive provincial appearances. Lucas is a current CIS player and will enter his 4th season in 2017-18. Lucas is a TC graduate and a role model for all TC athletes on and off the court. As a TransCanada alumnus, Lucas was a 1st team All Star at AA Provincial Championships.

Coach Sutter played at the elite high school level and currently coaches at the middle school level. Coach Sutter completed his education degree at the University of the Fraser Valley.
